He has held several management positions in both sectors and is currently working with Almac Metal Industries Ltd. as a Project Manager. He is currently sitting on the Architectural Cladder Apprenticeship Committee. He has been a volunteer on the AMBA Board of Directors since 2004.

John Trapp is the Director of Metals for Clark Builders, based out of Edmonton, AB. Clark Builders is a stalwart in the Metal Building Industry, with 40+ years in the marketplace and a highly experienced team of Metal Building System Erectors. John’s current leadership is complimented by his 14 years as co-founder and President of Total-R Insulation, a manufacturer and distributor of building envelope products to Metal construction market.

John has his C.E.T designation from NAIT, a graduate of the Entrepreneurial Masters Program from MIT and a professional executive coaching certification. John’s passion for leadership and driving progressive change to the improve industry for all stakeholders, will serve AMBA well.

Secretary Treasurer 

Linda Giesinger is the Area Sales Manager in Western Canada for Butler Manufacturing. With a career spanning over three decades in the Metal Building Industry, Linda has a wide range of experience in manufacturing production, accounting, steel detailing, project management, contract administration, sales and strategic planning.

Linda has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from University of Alberta School of Business and is committed to working collaboratively with industry partners to promote safety, education, sustainability and quality competition in metal building construction. 

Executive Director

Roger Geisinger was an original founding member of AMBA and past president of the organization. Roger recently retired from Clark Builders where he spent the majority of his career, culminating as The Metals Division Manager. Roger has sat on the Provincial Apprenticeship committee, along with several industry advisory councils including the Butler Buildings North American council.

After receiving an education degree, Roger started in the Metal Building Industry out in the field as an Ironworker. After erecting many projects spanning Northern Canada, Russia and in China, Roger made the transition into the Project Management role. With his wholistic knowledge of our craft Roger will be able to assist the board in bringing the most value to our members and industry.

Colin Porte has worked at Clark Builders since 2002, started in the field as an MBSE apprentice working his way to a foreman.  2008 Colin moved into the office for CB Metals Division and started as a coordinator and currently working as a Senior Project Manager.  From 2006 to 2014 he sat on the board of the Ironworker Provincial Apprenticeship Committee.  Colin has been on the AMBA Golf committee since 2014 and on the Board of Directors since 2017.

Greg Dellezay has been involved with metal building erection for 24 years and brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. He started working with Universal Erectors as an apprentice in 1993. He received his Journeyman MBSE ticket in 1998. Greg operated R&J Erectors for 7 years. In 2013, he joined Scott Builders Inc and is working as Project Manager Steel & Foundations. Greg has been involved with AMBA since joining SBI. Greg is currently sitting on the Ironworkers Provincial Apprenticeship Committee as an Employee Representative and has been on the committee since September of 2015.

Kesho Construction Services Ltd.

Harvey is the President of Kesho Construction Services Ltd. In 1981, his work experiences began with his relocation form Manitoba to Alberta to learn his trade an in 1991 he started Kesho. He is a founding member of AMBA and had volunteered on the Board of Directors since incorporation in 1995. He is also involved with the Alberta Industry and Training (AIT) subcommittee. Harvey had also taken his business experience into a variety of voluntary positions, including board member for the charity MCC Thrift Store since it’s conception in 2001.

Trellis Steel Construction

 Jordan Price has been working as a metal building erector with Clark builders in 1995.  He received his Pre-engineered Metal Building Erector journeyman ticket in 1997.  He worked with Clark Builders until 2003 when he left and Joined Trellis Steel Construction.  Jordan became a supervisor with Trellis in 2012 and continues to fulfill that role.  He has worked with Trellis both in Canada and on projects in the US.

Behlen Industries LP

Kent is the Regional Sales Manager for Behlen Industries LP. Kent joined Behlen in 2000 and is responsible for Alberta, British Columbia and the Territories.

Prior to joining Behlen, Kent spent 22 years involved in high rise construction, holding numerous sales and managerial positions with Dover Elevator. Kent has lived across the country from British Columbia to Nova Scotia moving through several Sales and Operational Management positions in the field prior to taking responsibility for Factory Sales in 1992.  Subsequent roles included Overseas Operation Manager responsible for two off-shore joint ventures, and Special Projects Construction Supervision and Site Management.

Kent holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from York University. He resides in Stony Plain, Alberta with his wife, Susan.
