AMBA Spring/Summer 2019 Update
Spring/Summer 2019 Newsletter
CHAIRMAN'S NOTES
I am pleased to announce that after your request at the AGM to have additional training available we were successful in getting Metl-Span to host a training course in Edmonton this summer. I believe in talking to Metl-Span this could become a regular thing if the interest is there. We need to insure that we fill the class and the AMBA board will continue with ongoing discussions with Metl-Span.

The board is looking for ways to improve our commitment to the members with new and innovative ideas to increase value for the membership, please feel free to call on any of the board members with your ideas so we can look into the possibility of implementing your ideas.
Chairman, AMBA
NOTEWORTHY NEWS
IRONWORKER PAC UPDATE
The Ironworker Provincial Apprenticeship Committee has been quiet the last 6 months. We met in October to discuss scope creep we saw with other trades doing work that is in the ironworker’s trade regulation. It was a productive meeting and we managed to come to an agreement with the other trades. We meet again May 7th to discuss the Architectural Cladders Trade that is being proposed. If you have any points that you would like brought up, please contact me to discuss.

The Ironworker PAC is a successful group due to the willingness of people in the industry volunteering time to be a part of the group. Continue to support the PAC by sending your employees for secondary training and applying to be part of the committee. You can be a member for two 3-year terms. If you have any questions, please contact the AMBA Board.
